Welcome to CPGs online home.  In 1986 we started the Cumberland Psychiatric Group (CPG) on the premise that we could improve quality of care and therefore achieve better outcomes more expeditiously with a treatment team.  Our goal is to treat as many ages and types of psychiatric problems with as diverse a group of problem solving talent.  Each clinician on our staff brings a different set of expertise to the team.  We accept most insurance plans but do not limit our therapeutic offerings to those covered by insurance.

We are unified by the philosophy that family involvement produces better outcomes and to that end we strive to achieve convenience for the treatment period.  We have four locations each staffed with MDs and therapists.  When appropriate we use community resources such as NAMI, AA, and church and community support groups.

Please feel free to use the Contact Us link on the left for information about how to reach our office.

 Please welcome Dr. Namita Rajouria-Malla

Dr. Namita Rajouria-Malla

Dr. Rajouria-Malla, is a welcome addition to our psychiatric group

CPG's founding philosophy emphasizes the critical importance of family involvement for complete evaluation and treatment of the individual patient.

Dr. Malla learned early in her medical training that although the illness directly impacted her patients, the  recovery was optimized by involvement and education of the caring family.

Her clinical interests include individual and family treatment for child and adolescent issues, with particular expertise in teen substance abuse.

Her medical/psychiatric training includes a Residency in

Psychiatry at St Lukes-Roosevelt in New York, a fellowship in child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Columbia University, New York, and an additional fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry at Emory, here in Atlanta.

She currently resides in Marietta with her husband, a cardiologist at the Piedmont Heart  Institute.

We are honored that she has chosen to join the distinguished team of psychiatrists and therapists at the Cumberland Psychiatric Group. Her main office will be located in Roswell.
